A split second can mean the difference between life or death behind the wheel.V

Every year, hazardous winter travel conditions contribute to accidents across the U.S. Nearly 70% of the nations roads are located in snowy regions that receive more than five inches of snowfall annually. 70% of the population lives in these conditions (SOURCE: USDOT FHA). Rapid snow accumulation and heavy icing on vehicle taillamps impede visibility – which make you (and your passengers) vulnerable to injury or worse. Every second a driver has to react to brake lights greatly improves the ability to slow or stop the vehicle.

Whether you are hauling freight, deicing roads or driving children home from school, Van Straten Heated Tail Lights can dramatically increase taillight visiblity, help reduce snow-related vehicle accidents and improve accident survivability. It makes sense. Be seen. Be visible.

Van Straten Heated Tail Lights are a cost
effective system for improved vehicle lighting

BARAGA AREA SCHOOLS
Baraga, MI

“During the winter season, the buildup of snow and ice on the warning, stop and directional lights at the rear of our busses is a real problem. The buildup obscures the lights, sometimes totally, making it difficult for any vehicle(s) following the busses to see those lights.

This hazard can be reduced if the lights can be kept free of snow and ice buildup. George Van Straten of Baraga, Michigan, has developed a ‘heated lens’ on one of our school busses, and the lights have remained snow-free and clear when the surrounding area was covered with snow. We feel this improves safety significantly.

In our opinion, the ‘heated lens’ concept has a great potential for installation on all types of vehicles operating in snow country. We plan on installing ‘heated lenses’ on all of our school busses.

We would encourage others to try the heated lens on their vehicles and let the results speak for themselves.”
